Our Carpet Cleaning Methods
At Mount Pleasant Carpet Care, we employ several different methods of cleaning depending on the situation and material we are cleaning. We use various cleaning methods including hot water extraction, bonnet cleaning, and dry cleaning to achieve the most visually pleasing results best suited to your situation.
Hot water extraction is the most thorough method of carpet cleaning. Hot water extraction is sometimes referred to as steam cleaning and is an excellent method for a deep carpet clean. Normally, drying time for this method is 12-24 hours. The drying process can be accelerated by turning on ceiling fans and HVAC.
Low moisture aka “bonnet” cleaning can be used for almost any surface. The low moisture method is very effective at cleaning the surface of carpet, as it uses wicking action to pull dirt and stains out of the carpet fibers. Bonnet cleaning is used more often for low pile carpet or in commercial settings in areas open round the clock. Bonnet cleaning uses less water than hot water extraction and thus results in quicker drying times.
